Aircraft Incompressible flow simulation

#1

Hi,

i am working on the incompressible flow simulation around the aircraft body.
I am setting most of the parameters according to the F1 car public project.
and follow the step as it did.
But i am not able to get the similar results.
I am wondering if it is the problem of my original geometry…
Please kindly have a look on my project. Thanks for helping!

Hi @cmho95,

What do you mean by similar results? You would not expect different geometries to have similar results, especially one as complex as an F1 car vs your simple aircraft body. If you’re talking about experimental results that are well documented, then do state how far “off” the values are and we can work from there.

Cheers.

Hi @Get_Barried
Thanks for your reply.
as compared to the public project, it shows stream lines, the car body and so on.
In my simulation, I could only get a solidbox and the aircraft body(just like a mesh created).
I dont know how to access to those simulation figures.

Ho

Hi @cmho95,

Those are from the post-processor that is done after simulation. You can obtain those by two ways, one using SimScale’s own post-processor online under the post-processing tab after simulation (check the tutorial if you are unsure how to use it) or the preferred way, download your simulation results and post-process them via ParaView which is a free software. Using paraview is slightly more complicated than SimScale’s post-processor but there are plenty of tutorials if you do a quick google search.

Cheers.
