The fourth webinar of the SimScale Consulting Partner Program introduces engineers, designers and researchers to the expertise of our training consulting partner, Fastway Engineering. Fastway delivers innovative project-based learning curriculum in a wide range of CAD and CAE applications. With an agnostic web-based training approach, they focus less on the WHAT and more on the HOW and the WHY for helping designers to become better decision makers.

During the webinar, we will show  how the unique capabilities of the SimScale’s web-based FEA & CFD simulation platform can be utilized by the Formula SAE teams for designing their Formula-style race cars. Considered by some to be the litmus test for students pursuing careers in the aerospace and automotive industries, the FSAE program epitomizes “experiential learning” of project management and multi-system engineering using the latest digital design software. For many students, FSAE is a crash course in FEA and CFD in order to optimize the various subsystems of the car for the proper structural, thermal, and fluid environments. This webinar aims to show you just how easy the learning curve can be with SimScale, where the FEA & CFD environments use a common interface, with access to nearly unlimited computing power and an online community full of domain experts ready and willing to provide you with their advice and support.

There is no prior knowledge or software required to join this free webinar. All participants will get free access to SimScale including all simulation features.

Why should you register?

  • Get a walk-through a static structural analysis of a Formula SAE suspension upright.
  • Understand more about the Fluid Dynamics analysis of a Formula SAE rear wing.
  • Get introduction into SimScale’s web-based simulation platform and the community of experts.
