Decomposition AlgorithmΒΆ

Via the option Algorithm used to decompose the domain you can specify how exactly the computational domain shall be decomposed in order to run the simulation on multiple cores and nodes. The options are:

  • Hierarchical
  • Scotch
  • Simple

If you are unsure about the options, use the standard algorithm Scotch. It will decompose the domain quite equally distributed and needs no further parameterization to run.
