Who are we?

At SimScale, our mission is to help engineers worldwide to develop their products faster, easier and better.

We are fascinated by the potential of simulation technology and work hard to make it easier and more accessible than ever before.

To that end, we are building the world’s first generic, completely web-based engineering simulation platform – bringing high performance
computing technology to the fingertips of every engineer and scientist in the world.

At SimScale you have the opportunity to shape the next generation of simulation technology together with a team of highly talented engineers,
mathematicians and computer scientists!

Since 2012, we have been working vigorously on a new method for the world of high-performance computing. Our cloud platform enables customers to access powerful engineering simulation technology – using a web browser. This provides a broad target group – ranging from large corporations to individual engineers – with the ability to develop their products faster, better and more cost-efficient.

About the job

Join an exciting startup and be part of the team responsible for guaranteeing customer satisfaction of the next generation of design software. The individual filling this role will work closely with the application development team to quickly identify and resolve problems, actively participate in improving QA process definition and provide manual quality assurance testing to ensure requirements in functionality, usability, workflow, and robustness are met.

Responsibilities

  • Performing functional and regression tests of our meshing, CFD and FEA features
  • Usability testing user interface, validating simulation setups and results
  • Identifying, reporting and tracking of product defects
  • Adding to and maintaining our test case database

What we expect from you

  • Experience in setting up complete CFD and FEA simulations (CAD to results)
  • Experience in meshing and mesh quality assessment
  • “What-would-happen-if-I-did-this” mindset – you enjoy and are good at discovering unexpected behaviors in complex applications
  • Profound theoretical knowledge in mechanical engineering and fluid mechanics
  • You like to engage with different stakeholders with different expectations and constraints, such as developers, product managers and support staff
  • Participation in the specification process, for example clarifying, refining and sharpening requirements
  • Strong English communication and reporting skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work collaborativelyC

What you can expect from us

  • Fast paced environment in which you will learn hands-on engineering simulation starting from day one
  • An international and enthusiastic team with high technical expertise, dedication and lots of fun
