Founded in 2010 as a spin-off of the Institute of Fluid Dynamics at ETH Zurich, streamwise provides professional expertise in the field of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, giving you access to more than 50 years of combined expertise in simulation, experimental validation, and practical engineering.
The streamwise engineers are both experimental and numerical experts, keeping up with the latest developments and implementing a hands-on approach that makes a prototype work. The company also provides in-depth analysis of your existing product or process in order to overcome problem areas and increase efficiency.
Dealing efficiently with fluid dynamics always requires a well-balanced combination of empirical expertise, experimental know-how, and simulation. Whether for analysis and design, computer simulation, optical sensing, or experimental verification, with streamwise you will benefit from an expert working on your solution.

For specific thermodynamic and fluid measurement tasks, the engineers at streamwise adapt the ideal sensor technology or develop it from scratch. This can take the form of a prototype for development or a turnkey system for routine measurements.
With customers from a multitude of industry verticals—consumer goods, automotive, mechanical engineering—and specializing in simulation and experimental validation, our partner can help you in the development of concepts for new products or processes, providing solutions, including CAD, prototype hardware, and testing.
BIOTRONIK | Stent coating
Analysis of the fluid dynamic principles in the production process of coating stents with spraying nozzles and identification of dominating parameters and design optimization. The methods used for this were CFD analysis of the nozzle flow and in-depth analysis of measurement data and designs.
Working with streamwise, BIOTRONIK significantly increased their production quality, extending to products previously impossible to realize with the existing technology.
The SimScale Consulting Partner Program aims to help our users who are not familiar with engineering simulation and the SimScale platform get assistance and consulting services with their product design, testing, prototyping, and simulation.
