In the past, SimScale hosted a Formula 1 Aerodynamics Workshop series, where we conceptualized and simulated an F1 race car. The series was a great success, and we were excited to see so many Formula 1 enthusiasts take part in it!
Many of the participants were especially excited about the aerodynamics simulation. That’s why we have decided to offer a follow-up of the free sessions of the F1 Aerodynamics Workshop, which focuses specifically on one of the key performance factors of a modern F1 car and gives F1 enthusiasts a chance to take the seat of an F1 aerodynamics specialist.
As part of this initiative, we provided several ready-to-run simulation projects of the aerodynamic in the PERRINN F1 car and offered a series of exclusive webinars with Nicolas Perrin, who performed a live analysis of the simulation results and answered participants questions:
Driving in the Slip Stream
This second webinar took place in 2016, but you can still watch the Formula 1 Aerodynamics Workshop for free on this page.
Just create a SimScale Community account for free, watch the recordings and follow the steps to perform your own simulations.
If you want to read more, discover this unique blog post with Nicolas Perrin.
SimScale’s CEO David Heiny tests the capabilities of the platform to solve a real-life engineering problem. Fill in the form and watch this free webinar to learn more!
